Heavy Sans
𝗟𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗴𝗲
Discord server names, channel names, and role names accept Unicode, so a copied font can label the sidebar. Server names allow 2 to 100 characters. Channel and role names allow up to 100. Text channels still rewrite ordinary A–Z to lowercase and spaces to hyphens. Use a short label and check the sidebar after you save.

Lounge
𝕃𝕠𝕦𝕟𝕘𝕖
Heavy Sans of Lounge is 𝗟𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗴𝗲. Fullwidth is Lounge, which is wider and a weak choice for a narrow sidebar. Prefer sans, bold, or petite caps for labels people scan all day.

★ 🄻🄾🅄🄽🄶🄴 ★
L⃞o⃞u⃞n⃞g⃞e⃞
⒧⒪⒰⒩⒢⒠
A bubble channel name such as Ⓛⓞⓤⓝⓖⓔ works for one short word. Dark squares (🅻🅾🆄🅽🅶🅴) are heavier. Do not bubble a three-word topic.
𝓛𝓸𝓾𝓷𝓰𝓮
ℒℴ𝓊𝓃ℊℯ
𝔏𝔬𝔲𝔫𝔤𝔢
Łøʉňǥɇ
ᒪOᑌᑎGE
𝐿𝑜𝑢𝑛𝑔𝑒
Script (𝓛𝓸𝓾𝓷𝓰𝓮) and gothic (𝔏𝔬𝔲𝔫𝔤𝔢) suit a server title more than a list of twenty channels. One decorated title, plain channel names, is easier to use.

A bracket label is 【Lounge】. Stars and moons add characters on both ends. Fine on a server name. Cramped on a channel that already has a topic.
Copied styles land here so you can grab them again.
Copy from the box above, then paste in the setting that owns that label. Check the sidebar after saving. The edit field is wider than the list, so a name that looks fine while you type can wrap badly once it is in the channel rail.
Open the server, then Server Settings, and replace the server name. Lounge in Heavy Sans is 𝗟𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗴𝗲. The field allows 2 to 100 characters.
Edit the channel and replace the name. Plain General becomes general, with spaces turned into hyphens. Unicode bold of General is 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹, which is not plain A–Z, so the styled shape can remain. Use one word and no spaces.
Voice channel names keep spaces and ordinary capitals more willingly than text channels. A short bold or script label is still easier to read than a framed sentence.
Server Settings, Roles, then the role name. The published cap is 100 characters. A role people mention should stay short enough to read next to the message.
Discord normalizes text channel names. Ordinary capital letters become lowercase. Spaces become hyphens. That is why a pasted "General Chat" often saves as general-chat.
Unicode letters are different code points, not A–Z. 𝐆𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐥 and ɢᴇɴᴇʀᴀʟ are not the Latin capitals Discord lowercases, so the designed shape can stick. If a particular symbol is rejected, switch style rather than stacking more decoration.
| Label | Paste | Characters | Sidebar note |
|---|---|---|---|
| Heavy Sans | 𝗟𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗴𝗲 | 6 | Best default for a server or channel. |
| Petite Caps | ʟᴏᴜɴɢᴇ | 6 | Quieter, still one character per letter. |
| Bold script | 𝓛𝓸𝓾𝓷𝓰𝓮 | 6 | Better as the server title than as every channel. |
| Bubbles | Ⓛⓞⓤⓝⓖⓔ | 6 | Wide. One channel, not the whole list. |
| Brackets | 【Lounge】 | 8 | The brackets count. Keep the inside word short. |
| Fullwidth | Lounge | 6 | Very wide. Poor fit for the channel rail. |
Server names allow 2 to 100 characters. Channel names allow 1 to 100. Role names are capped at 100 in Discord's published server caps. Those budgets are larger than a display name, which stops at 32, but the sidebar is narrower than the settings form. A 100-character script name is legal and still a bad label.
Your personal name is a different limit and a different field. See the Discord username font page for the @handle rules, and the Discord font generator for the shared style list.
Use one family for the labels people click all day. Heavy Sans, Serif Bold, and Petite Caps stay readable. Gothic and castle letters (Łøʉňǥɇ) are for a single server title, not for #rules plus twelve topic channels.
Chat formatting is separate. A channel name does not accept **bold**. The message cheat sheet is Discord text formatting, and the name walkthrough is how to get Discord fonts.
Yes. Paste Unicode into the server name. The field allows 2 to 100 characters. You need the permission to manage the server. Nitro is not required for the characters themselves.
Yes, with a catch. Text channels lowercase ordinary A–Z and replace spaces with hyphens. Unicode bold or script is not ordinary A–Z, so a word like a bold General can keep its look. If Discord strips the symbol, switch to Heavy Sans, bold, or petite caps.
Discord's published server caps set the role name limit at 100 characters. A short styled word is easier to read next to a colored role dot than a full sentence.
No. Pick one style for the whole sidebar, or style only the server name. Mixed bubbles, script, and wide text make the channel list harder to scan.
A styled channel name is still that channel. People mention it from the picker. This does not change your @username. Your personal name font is a separate field, the display name or server nickname.
Discord rewrites plain A–Z to lowercase in text channel names and turns spaces into hyphens. Paste a Unicode style if you need the label to keep a designed shape, and avoid spaces if you do not want hyphens.
