Heavy Sans

A Discord font generator swaps the letters you type for Unicode characters that already look bold, script, bubbly, or small. Discord has no font menu on names. Copy the line and paste it into a display name, server nickname, server name, or channel name. The @username stays plain letters.

Heavy Sans and Serif Bold are the safest fonts for Discord. Each letter is one Unicode character, so a short name still fits the 32-character display name. They also survive a text channel, which lowercases ordinary AโZ but does not rewrite these symbols.

Script reads as handwriting in a member list. Keep it to one short name. Capitals B, E, F, H, I, L, M, and R, plus lowercase e, g, and o, come from an older Unicode block, so those glyphs can look a little different from the rest of the word.

Circled and squared letters are wide. They suit a one-word nickname. A long bubble line is hard to scan in the member list and spends the 32-character name budget on width you do not need.

Petite caps and superscript stay quieter than script and still count as one character per letter. Use them when a bold name already feels loud, or when you want a tiny status word beside a plain name.

Hearts, stars, and brackets sit outside the word and count toward the limit. A frame around Nova is fine. A frame around a full sentence will not fit a display name and looks noisy in a channel list.
Copied styles land here so you can grab them again.
Keep Discord open. Type the name in the box above, copy one card, then paste into the field that is allowed to hold symbols. One style per field. Mixing script, bubbles, and a frame in a 32-character name is how saves fail.
Use the name you want people to read, not a paragraph. Nova is the sample. Display names and server nicknames allow 1 to 32 characters.
Heavy Sans (๐ก๐ผ๐๐ฎ), Pretty Bold Script (๐๐ธ๐ฟ๐ช), Cute Bubbles (โโโฅโ), and Petite Caps (ษดแดแด แด) are the sets current Discord clients usually draw. If you see an empty box, that device is missing the glyph. Switch cards.
Desktop or browser: User Settings, then Profiles, then Display Name. One server only: Profiles, then Per-server Profiles, then the nickname. Phone: You tab, then the profile editor, or that server's profile for a nickname.
Look at the member list, not only the edit box. For a server title, channel, or role, use the server and channel name fonts. For the name-versus-handle rules, use the Discord username font page.
These are not Discord themes. They are Unicode letters, mostly from the Mathematical Alphanumeric Symbols block, plus enclosed letters for bubbles. Discord already draws those characters. The style travels with the text when you paste.
| Style | Nova looks like | Unicode characters | Use it when |
|---|---|---|---|
| Heavy Sans | ๐ก๐ผ๐๐ฎ | 4 | Best default for names and channel labels. |
| Pretty Bold Script | ๐๐ธ๐ฟ๐ช | 4 | Handwriting. Keep the name short. |
| Cute Bubbles | โโโฅโ | 4 | Wide. One word, not a sentence. |
| Petite Caps | ษดแดแด แด | 4 | Quiet and compact. |
| Bold Underline | ๐ฬฒ๐จฬฒ๐ฏฬฒ๐ฬฒ | 8 | The underline is an extra character on every letter. |
| Vaporwave Wide | ๏ผฎ ๏ฝ ๏ฝ ๏ฝ | 7 | Spaces make this a poor fit for a 32-character name. |
Empty boxes show up on a device whose font lacks that glyph. Bold, script, bubbles, and small caps are the practical set. Combining underlines, strikes, and very wide vaporwave spacing are the usual failures: they either cost extra characters or become hard to read in a sidebar.
Screen readers may not speak these letters as the Latin word. Do not use a styled name as the only copy of a warning or an instruction in a channel topic.
| Field | Limit | Fancy Unicode |
|---|---|---|
| @username | 2โ32. aโz, 0โ9, underscore, period. No two periods in a row. Forced lowercase. | No |
| Display name | 1โ32. Not unique. Special characters and emoji are allowed. | Yes |
| Server nickname | 1โ32. Overrides the display name inside that server. | Yes |
| Server name | 2โ100. | Yes |
| Channel name | 1โ100. Text channels lowercase ordinary AโZ and turn spaces into hyphens. | Yes, if the symbol is not plain AโZ |
| Role name | Up to 100. | Yes |
A server nickname wins over the global display name in that server. A friend nickname is private to your client and also wins there. Neither one changes the @username people use to add you.
Chat has markdown. Names do not. **Nova** in a message becomes bold. The same asterisks in a display name stay asterisks. Color from a code block also stays in the message box. It does not recolor a nickname, channel, or server name.
**text** in chat, and Unicode bold when the field ignores markdown.~~text~~ in a message, not a name style.A Discord font generator turns the letters you type into Unicode characters that look bold, script, bubbly, or small. You copy the result and paste it into Discord. It is not a font file, a bot, or a Nitro feature.
No. Discord fonts on this page are ordinary Unicode text. Display names, server nicknames, server names, channel names, and role names are not locked behind Nitro. Paste the characters and save.
No. A Discord username allows Latin letters aโz, numbers, underscores, and periods, from 2 to 32 characters. Discord forces it to lowercase and rejects other symbols. Put the styled text in your display name or a server nickname.
For the name people see everywhere, open User Settings, then Profiles, and paste into Display Name. For one server only, use Profiles, then Per-server Profiles, and paste into the nickname. Server owners paste into the server name, a channel name, or a role name.
Display names and server nicknames must be 1 to 32 characters. A combining underline or strike adds a mark after every letter, so the field fills faster than a plain bold or script name. Shorten the line, or switch to Heavy Sans, script, bubbles, or petite caps.
No. Discord's mention picker can search by display name or by username. If you have a server nickname, the mention shows that nickname. The account people add is still your unique @username, which stays plain.
